At Take Time Shepherd’s Huts we pride ourselves on ensuring you have the most memorable, perfect stay possible, with thoughtful touches throughout. Our high-end, self catering huts are totally off grid and positioned to incorporate amazing views, privacy and comfort without compromising on luxury.
Both our shepherd’s huts are furnished to a very high standard and include all bedding, plenty of storage, a Hobbit wood burning stove, solar and battery powered lighting and a welcome hamper to get you started. While no inside cooking is permitted, outside is a small kitchen area for each hut with a double burner gas cooker including grill, essential cooking equipment, cool box with ice packs and seating area. Each shepherd’s hut has its own private, adjacent facilities comprising an eco friendly composting toilet, full size hot shower and basin.
Logs, firelighters, ice blocks and fresh drinking water are available from the self check-in area. As you will be staying on a farm don’t forget your wellies or walking boots, some warm clothes for cooler evenings and a waterproof jacket, just in case! Parking is a short minutes walk from your hut and help is available for your luggage if required.
Our Shepherd's Huts
Mist
Mist is our most spacious shepherds hut hand built by a local carpenter and features beautiful double doors enabling you to enjoy the views even from your bed! The outdoor kitchen, exclusively for your own use, contains a double gas burner cooker with grill together with all essential cooking equipment. The private facilities for Mist hut are in a bespoke miniature shepherd’s hut called Skye, which includes a quadrant shower with glass doors, composting toilet and basin.
Moss
Moss is our slightly smaller shepherds hut internally but has the benefit of a balcony where you can sit in comfort and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. The outdoor kitchen, exclusively for your own use, contains a double gas burner cooker with grill together with all essential cooking equipment. The private facilities for Moss hut are in a cute and somewhat quirky little wooden shed called Fern which includes everything you need with a hot shower, composting toilet and basin.
